FAQs

1. What kind of yarn is it, and what can I use it for?

It’s an 8-ply “milk cotton” yarn made from 100% acrylic fiber. It has a soft, chunky feel that works well for tufted rugs, mats, wall art, cushions, bags, and other handmade decor pieces.

2. How thick is the yarn, and will it work with my tufting gun?

This yarn is about 5 mm / 0.2 in thick. Compatibility depends on your tufting gun’s needle opening. For example, the Clawlab Tufting Gun H1 has a needle opening of about 3 mm / 0.12 in, so we recommend using one strand at a time for smoother feeding. If your tufting gun has a larger needle opening, you can test different yarn combinations before starting your project.

3. Is it beginner-friendly?

Yes. It’s suitable for beginners, but we recommend testing on a small area first to check the yarn feed, texture, and stitch density.

4. Can I use this yarn for crafts other than tufting?

Yes. It can also be used for crochet, knitting, weaving, and other DIY craft projects, as long as the yarn thickness works for your tools.

5. Will the color look exactly like the photos?

Colors may look slightly different depending on your screen, lighting, and dye batch. For one project, it’s best to order enough yarn at the same time.
